Our
Story
Gvozden Pediatrics was founded in 1996 by husband and wife Andre Gvozden, MD and Cathy Gvozden, CRNP. For over 25 years they have strived to create and maintain a pediatric office that has a small-practice and personal touch while adhering to the most up-to-date medicine to keep your children feeling comfortable and well cared for. We pride ourselves in knowing our patients and their families.

A Letter from Dr. Gvozden:
To My Dear Patients and Parents,
This is a very hard letter for me to write as it is to announce my retirement from regular pediatric practice on June 1st, 2025. Becoming a pediatrician is something I have wanted since I was four years old, and something I have truly loved being for the past 45 years.
My heart and mind want me to continue practicing for many more years, but my body is telling me otherwise. It is comforting to know that the practice that Cathy and I created will retain its basic principles of compassion and excellent care under Dr. Huebner’s leadership. I will also stay connected and occasionally fill in when needed, so I look forward to continuing to see your face at those times.
I feel so humbled and privileged to have been a part of your lives and to have been entrusted to care for the well-being of your children. I was honored to share the joy of their accomplishments and milestones, and was rewarded if able to ease their physical or emotional pain. The joy of seeing my patients grow from babies into adulthood (and now their own babies) is only comparable to what I experienced with my own children.
I am so thankful to many people: our community for embracing our practice, my wife Cathy for being my love, inspiration and partner, my children for being always supportive and understanding of my calling and forgiving me for the hours away from them, my dedicated staff for their loyalty and commitment to our patients, and most of all, for the incredible hugs from the little patients when I needed them most.
With Love,
Andre Gvozden

Vaccine Policy
Gvozden Pediatrics requires our patients to follow a standard vaccine schedule unless otherwise required for strict medical reasons. We do not allow alternative or "broken-up" vaccine schedules. COVID and Flu vaccines are recommended but not required at this time.

For several years, issues related to vaccinating children has been a favorite topic in the media. Recently social media, and politics have instilled in parents undue fear and anxiety through misinformation and often fabricated data about vaccines. One of the best ways to protect our children and patients’ health is through vaccination.
