Dr. Peggy Martin

Dr. Martin is a board-certified pediatrician with deep Maryland roots. Born and raised in Baltimore, she earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Maryland. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and has since cared for families across Maryland. She provides compassionate care, grounded in the latest research, and values partnering with parents to ensure every child reaches their full potential. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, reading, volunteering, playing pickleball, watching Ravens football, and spending time with her family, including pup Bucky.​

Hannah Mules, CRNP
Hannah has joined our team after completing her Master's in Nursing-Pediatric Primary Care from Drexel University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences from Gettysburg College, where she also played lacrosse. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. Hannah spent her eight-year nursing career in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit and the Pediatric Emergency Room at the University of Maryland, as well as working as a pediatric hematology and oncology nurse while traveling in California. She lives in Arnold with her husband, two children, and pup.

Dr. Shaylyn Proulx, PMHNP
Dr. Proulx is a highly trained Nurse Practitioner who specializes in mental health care for children, teens, and young adults.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Dr. Proulx is the Nurse Practitioner equivalent of a psychiatrist.
She is qualified to evaluate mental health concerns, make diagnoses, and prescribe medications to help support emotional and behavioral well-being.
Dr. Proulx takes a warm, thoughtful, and personalized approach to care. She works closely with families to find the right treatment plan, and believes in combining medication with therapy, lifestyle support, and healthy habits.
In her free time, Dr. Proulx loves to cook, learn new things, and spend time with her own family. She’s excited to get to know yours!

Sammie Jefferson, CRNP
Sammie completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Sammie spent her eight-year nursing career on the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She grew up in Bowie and is an alumni of Archbishop Spalding High School, where she played soccer. She currently lives in Pasadena with her husband and goldendoodle, Lewnes aka Lewy.

Jessica Seen, CPNP
Jess is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing from Towson University in 2013 and her Master's Degree of Science in Nursing from Drexel University in 2020. Jess brings 5 years of experience as a CPNP prior to joining Gvozden Pediatrics. Prior to becoming a CPNP, Jess spent her eight-year nursing career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She also worked part-time in the NICU at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Jess lives with her husband, daughter, and Red Lab, Brody!

Dr. Gredaldine Nwoga
Dr. Nwoga is a board-certified Pediatrician with residency training from Sinai Children’s Hospital in Chicago, where she gained hands-on experience in advanced pediatric care.
Licensed in Maryland, Dr. Nwoga blends clinical expertise with a warm, empathetic approach shaped by her own experience as a mother of two. She enjoys traveling, singing, and running, and is committed to supporting families with compassionate, evidence-based care.
Dr. Nwoga will be acting as a medical director in addition to her duties as a practicing pediatrician.​​​

Dr. Bina Valsangkar
Dr. Valsangkar received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. After completing her pediatric residency training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, she also obtained a Master's in Public Health from Harvard University, where she was a Reynolds Foundation Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship.
At Gvozden Pediatrics, Dr. Valsangkar is affectionately known as “Dr Bina”, and she practices general pediatrics, caring for children and adolescents from birth to young adults. Dr. Bina’s interest and passion in caring for children go well beyond the boundaries of pediatrics. She is a pediatric and newborn technical advisor for the Saving Newborn Lives Program at Save the Children, where she works with Ministries of Health in Malawi, Uganda, and Ethiopia to reduce neonatal mortality through health programming, policy, and program-based research. Dr. Bina lives in Washington DC and she is fluent in Spanish and French.
